Where do you find your beta readers?

I'm quite a way off from this but I'm hoping by the end of the summer to have my story in some sort of decent shape. I'm in an online critique group but we just critique sections of work at a time. Would it be rude to maybe ask one of them to read it? I'd read theirs in return of course. Or maybe a well read friend? Just musing really, what has anybody else done?
