Start using Mumsnet PremiumBest place for families Meath
(4 Posts) Hi, we're moving home from the UK and my husband has gotten a job near Tara. I'm from Kildare and he's from the West so we don't know Meath well at all. Where would you suggest we look for somewhere to live? We could go with Kildare to be nearer my parents but looks like we'd get more for our money in Meath. We have 2 kids (3 and 18 months), a dog and I'm a sahm. We'd love somewhere with good schools, outdoorsy places to visit/go for walks and just generally good facilities for young families. We'll be staying with my parents initially while we settle and visit some places. Thanks
Trim. Lovely town. Lots of things going on
Lots of clubs. Good schoolls. Commuter belt to Dublin avoiding the toll !!
Navan is too much of a miish mash of people for me and too big
Houses on Dublin rd Trim are expensive ! ( i know your Dh will be working near Tara bit Dublin rd is a desirable area )
Thanks Radyward, will have a look at Trim!
Dunshaughlin is nice.
