Gaelic on Duolingo

Is anyone else doing it? I'm hooked and have learned a lot so far! I'm amazed at the genius of the app, which forces your brain to guess answers and then rewards and reinforces the learning - brilliant or should I say sgoinnel!

Do you mean Scots Gaelic? I didn't know that it was on Duolingo but great if it is. You might get more responses on Scotsnet though - this is Craicnet (for Ireland).

Or do you mean Irish? Irish is on Duolingo, and it's pretty good, but it's definitely (properly) called Irish and not Gaelic. Sgoinne is not a word in Irish, though.

Scottish Gaelic just got added- agus tha e sgoinnel gu dearbh! (Sorry of that's horrific.) Maybe start this again on Scotsnet though?

Sorry, didn't realise craicnet was just for Ireland! Will start another thread on scotsnet once the kids are in bed 🤗
