Have any of your children applied to Queens? I think digs would be cheaper. What are the chances of getting in with good leaving cert results!?

I'm not pressuring my dd btw, she is the one who is telling me that queens is the place for dentistry in the uk and anyway there are only 32 places in UCD. UCD only down the road so that's why she wants to go to !ueens I spose.

I'm only wondering out loud. She might decide Galway tomorrow.

They do Dentistry at Bristol and it's very popular!

thank you for that! I will tell her that. She is a bit scared to go to England but maybe she will get over that by this time next year.

Hi OP!
Twenty years ago I left Dublin (from just down the road of UCD too Grin) and moved to Belfast. Didn't know a sinner, didn't know what an Orangeman was, didn't know anything!
I love Belfast. It is really different from those days, thankfully! Queens even then has many people from 'the South'. I did nursing and I'd say half the intake was from the South.
Easy to get the train/bus home, much easier and cheaper than flying from Belfast. I do door to door from Belfast to Blackrock in 2 hours. Once she learns to drive she can do it herself, its a good road.
No idea what its like to get in now, but no harm applying!
