Happy st Patrick's day to you too holly!

I am celebrating from my front garden as the parade goes right past my house. Looks like rain though so I reckon everyone will be huddled at my living room window watching Grin better run out and buy more teabags.

I'm trying to persuade my 6 year old that the parade is rubbish. I'm in Dublin and can't face town. I think I'm winning.

Hi all, I'm a newbie. Happy St.Patrick's Day ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️.

We will be attending a parade in our local village which will mainly comprise of tractors and local business vans .... yay. Then we'll complain how rubbish it was and how it's like something out of Father Ted. But I'm still sitting here felling excited trying to find something green to wear

Sounds like I'll be at the same parade as you, edengarden.

I think my toddler will just love it. Like so many things these days, that's what I am looking forward to.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Did you see Enda thanked President Bush for inviting him?

Teehee.

I've the joys of a meeting at 4.30pm where the Home Treatment Team discharge me to a Social Worker. Not exactly what I'd planned, but hey ho!

Happy St. Patrick's Day from a TCD graduate!

About 20 years ago there was an offer from An Post to send themed postcards but I haven't received any from my friends and relations in Ireland for a few years. Has it stopped or is it me??

Enda thanked President Bush Smile

Trump got his own back ( or did he say it first?) when he spoke about Veeola ( aka Finola - Enda's wife) his new bff, who sat beside him at the meal.

I thought Trump sounded so patronising 'I love Ireland. I really, really love Ireland'

When he says he 'really really' loves something you know he's lying.

Does anyone else feel slightly confused that it's not Saturday?

Couldn't face going into Dublin so we headed to a parade in Wicklow which the children loved. Dh was very disappointed there was no RDF not allowed call it FCA any more representation (he's been involved for years and wanted to see someone else suffering through it Wink ), but the Civil Defense were out in force! And the Irish dancers...a lot of Irish dancers. I welled up a bit when the Coast Guard crew came past.
