Does anyone know how long PCR tests are coming back at the minute? We went to a walk in local centre. Thanks

Mine came back in less than 24hours. Was a drive thru. They did say it could be up to 2-3 dates but that most people were getting results next day.

Mine last week took about 36 hours

we were told 12-24 hours where we live just this morning at a drive through.

In the summer We got results in 11 hours. I expect it'll be longer this time though... not much help I know as we haven't got our results yet.

Drive-through and took about 2.5 days. South West so may have been delayed by the impact of the false negatives issue.

I had one around 9am on Saturday and got the result back at 9.40pm the same day (negative) We've done 3 tests from the same centre since July and they've all been less than 24 hours. I bet I've jinxed it now and the next one will be days!

4 hours today, 3 hours a few weeks ago. They've got a tent in the car park with "laboratory" written on it; I can only assume they're testing on-site! I am genuinely surprised this is not more common, judging from the other answers here with significantly longer. We don't live anywhere particularly exciting (though neither is it the middle of nowhere).

I’ve done loads (our household has done almost 30 PCR to date) and they used to be averaging 18hrs, some as little as 12hrs. But the last 2 walk in ones last week have been 36hrs.
Numbers are higher though here again so think that’s impacted it.

Yesterday's morning test came through at midnight 14 hours after testing but only by email, not had a text yet...

We had our tests at 10am yesterday. Had emails for two out of the three of us about 5am. Hoping when the texts come through we get all three!

Does anyone know if results are released in batches? All my previous PCR results have come through roughly on the hour.

I'm currently sat watching my email, willing negative results to arrive from first thing yesterday morning, so that I can get the kids into their uniforms and back to school!

It would be nice to know if I can have an hour off stressing and then start again at 10!

@IAmTheLemonInPlay have you had your results back yet? We went to a walk in test centre at 8am yesterday and still waiting. We're in South East. All other times we've tested we've had results back well within 24 hours so I'm a bit concerned.

Over the last month we have had longest at 72 hours and shortest at 15 hours. Most around the 26 hour mark. We have done shed loads and I am SO bored of them now!
