So angry. We are tier 3 again, yet our cases per 100,000 is down to 180. Can’t ever see us getting lowered.

Thanks for posting. Tier 2 as I feared. Looks like another lonely few months of maternity leave with just outdoor walks for company

Clearasmuddypuddles · 26/11/2020 11:54

@Racoonworld if you have a child under 1 you can form a support bubble with another household.

Sadly that rule didn’t exist in the last lockdown when I qualified and now my DD is just over 1 so can’t do it now either.

Going to be a very lonely winter just me and the kids as DH works very long hours and weekends so we don’t see him much.

JacobReesMogadishu · 26/11/2020 11:56

tier 3. Am so fucking depressed.

The West Midlands is in tier 2 & tier 3 Confused

Oh I’ve just figured it out. Slow brain day. Sorry!

ChocBeforeCock · 26/11/2020 12:01

So basically lockdown hasn’t really been lifted at all.

Tier 3 but I have a baby so I can have a support bubble, which is a very big consolation.

Ok thanks, tier 2 London

Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 26/11/2020 12:02

Parts of London have rates far higher than areas which are in Tier 3 and yet they are in Tier 2. Piss Take

Report
Iwantacookie · 26/11/2020 12:03

Were in 3. Our cases are rising though. Doesnt look like exercise classes can go ahead though which is what I really wanted.

Sad fucking great.

We’ve gone into 2 as they’ve grouped all the districts together rather than separately like before.

People will struggle to find out because the government announcement page is "experiencing technical difficulties ". Again.

Report
LottieDot · 26/11/2020 12:05

Does anyone know when/how often the tiers will be reviewed? Apologies I didn't watch the live announcement

Clearasmuddypuddles

Look under 'Childcare' rules- I am in a bubble with my DD and I go everyday and 'provide childcare' whilst she does other things. It was allowed under lockdown, not sure about now, but look under 'childcare' rules.

I'm actually really happy we're dropping into Tier 2. I'm in Liverpool and we have worked hard to decrease our rate of infection.

Report
LizzieSiddal · 26/11/2020 12:07

We're in tier 2 despite only having 73 per 100,000. They are being very strict aren't they.

Report
Iwantacookie · 26/11/2020 12:07

@littledot I've heard every 14 days but with this government just pick a number out of midair

Report
movingonup20 · 26/11/2020 12:07

For some reason we are in tier 3but Liverpool with a full 100 more is tier 2, go figure! Only 15 cases locally this whole week, we just happen to be 10 miles from a city with a problem and it's by country

Report
PotholePalace · 26/11/2020 12:10

All of London is only in Tier 2? Hmmm, not too happy about that. And I'm a Southerner by birth, living in the Midlands with family in the North, so no loyalty to any area.

We're in the Warwickshire and in Tier 3. I accept it has to be by large areas, so lots of averaging out, but we have several areas with quite low rates and decreasing. We'll abide by it, but will have the occasional grumble.

Report
Tink1990 · 26/11/2020 12:10

In tier 3, are non essential shops open does anyone know? Argh, I hate coronavirus!

I knew we were going into Tier 3, local papers were warning us from a week ago. We had been Tier 1 and I'd been pretty complacent all the way through as our rates have always been pretty low, but they've been rising sharply (highest in the country in two areas here).

Report
LizzieSiddal · 26/11/2020 12:12

Just read it is not only to do with how many cases per thousand, it is quite a few criteria, including how many people are in hospital at the moment.

Report

Tier 3

Apparently you can still travel internationally when you're Tier 3 if you go straight to the airport.

I'm on maternity leave at the moment and my family lives abroad, so I'll book a flight so that me and my baby can get the fuck out of here.
