Are mask exemptions allowed at walk in test centres? - have a ds who can't keep a mask on.

Probably best to order an at home test, as presumably you're going to test centre with symptoms so it would be an increased risk to staff/other members of public if you can't wear one.

I agree with the above, please don't do it. Is there really no way he could wear it though? It is really only seconds, whilst you walk in and receive the instructions. You take it off when you get in your little booth. Then back on for a matter of seconds whilst you leave. Any face covering would do, even a snood pulled up over his mouth?

It would be completely unacceptable to put the staff and other patients at risk by not wearing one, sorry! You would need a home test if he can't manage a face covering at all.

We have ordered a home test. Our local drive through test centre has been replaced by walk in which is being advertised as more accessible but I am guessing not for everyone.

I have no idea about exemptions in the test centres but you have my sympathy because some people really cannot wear a mask at all. Can you telephone ahead and ask? Good luck

I did a walk in and flipping hated it! I kept thinking even if I didn't have cv before I went, I would after! Very unfair of me I am sure, but I hated having to sit at the table! I had brought cleaning wipes but still didn't feel 'clean'!

Anyway, good luck Flowers

Not a chance of him wearing one even for few seconds. He won't tolerate anything touching his face or head, hats glasses etc.

I'm only attempting the nostrils. He won't open his mouth for anyone so I am not even going to try going there.
