Or shall I get me coat? Wink

As of Thursday, are they allowed to take people in to actually physically view a property or is it all back online only?

I was looking at properties earlier and one of the listings I saw had added a photo which said

"VIEWINGS AND VALUATIONS CAN STILL TAKE PLACE"

So I assume they can still go ahead?

I’m interested, my house is on the market and I have a viewing booked for Thursday, I’m assuming that it will be brought forward by the EA or postponed till December

My estate agent husband says yes, viewings are allowed as long as appropriate measures are in place; masks etc.

Yes, we are in the business and it’s all pretty much the same. More of the staff will be WFH and viewings are “advised” to be 15 minutes or less. Masks, hand hygiene etc as before. It’s not in anyone’s interest to stall the property market.

Thank you all I shall await further intelligence as they say but it seems likely viewings are on.

I will point out though that more and more agents / vendors are banning children from viewings, and it is now harder to secure childcare to cover it. My husband and I are fortunate to have pretty flexible jobs, but we are restricted to my 3 working days when our daughter is in nursery, otherwise only 1 of us can go. Properties are literally flying off so if you can't view straight away you've lost it.

Even harder for families to move now Sad

Yes we’ve had this, luckily as my child is a baby she’s been allowed to come but I feel for people with older children who aren’t allowed.

My brother said that they took it in turns. One went in and had a look whilst the other stayed in the car with the kids and swapped over so it is do-able

That is another good idea. We asked if we could do this but were told they were too busy to fit us in if we wanted to do shifts. I guess it depends how many viewings they already have.
