NHS app alert- vanished from screen

Earlier this evening I had an alert on my phone to say I’ve been in contact with a positive case.
Literally a second later another alert to say something along the lines of not needing to take further action as my location and timings have been investigated. It said to continue to stay alert, wash hands and distance.

I couldn’t read it properly as it wasn’t a message I could open anywhere on my phone. The alert isn’t visible in the app.

Has anyone had this?

I’ve read online there was a glitch back in September that sent out similar notifications. Could this explain it?

It's actually in the FAQ for the app. You should ignore it.

Don't worry.

The app makes it very clear if you need to take action. If all that happens is that it detects that you might have been at risk, but it does the analysis and concludes that the risk is too low to worry about, then unfortunately the notifications aren't massively user-friendly. This isn't ideal but on the plus side it means that if you are confused then everything is ok. If you do need to take action then it is all very explicit.

Over the past couple of days this has happened to me too.

I've had this happen 3 times. First 2 times I got a 2nd message to say they had assessed the risk and I was fine. Not had the message to say I'm fine for the 3rd message. But it was 3 days ago so probably too late to stop me passing on Covid if I have it.
I haven't a clue where the messages go to. They just vanish into thin air. As someone who is very anxious over Covid it really freaks me out.
The only place I go out to us the supermarket so it must be people testing positive who were shopping at the same time as me.
I was in Sainsbury's last night and there was a woman coughing and spluttering nearby. She had a mask on - so that's ok then ....

I get this every Saturday, if I have or have not come into contact and then it's gone and I can't find it. I don't think it's the app I think it's a thing on my iPhone that sends data to the app. If it's serious the app will let me know.

Thanks.

I’ve just had a look in the settings and you can see the data regarding the checks.

Can anyone explain what the provided key count means? The number of phones mine has connected to our the positive cases? I understand the zero under ‘matched’ means I’ve not been exposed.

Just wondering how and why the numbers vary so much, particularly between 11pm and 3am when I’m at home in bed.
