Staying overnight in a support bubble

Can anyone clarify this for me?
Legally, can you stay overnight at a support bubble House, even though they're out of area? The guidance seems contradictory on this point. On the one hand it says support bubbles can stay overnight, but then later it says you can't travel to stay overnight even in a support bubble. Is it only local support bubbles that can stay overnight?

Staying overnight with your support bubble is permitted. That includes travelling to / from because, by their nature, support bubble people don't live together or they'd just be called a household.

Overnight stays and holidays away from primary residences will not be allowed. This includes holidays abroad and in the UK. It also means you cannot stay in a second home, if you own one, or staying with anyone you do not live with or are in a support bubble with.

I take this as you can travel to and stay overnight with bubble.

I find that sentence in Government's wording really confusing. ("It also means you cannot stay in a second home, if you own one, or staying with anyone you do not live with or are in a support bubble with.")

I assume they mean "It also means you cannot stay in a second home, if you own one, or with anyone you don't live with or aren't in a support bubble with."

Copied from gov website:

A support bubble is where a household with one adult joins with another household. Households in that support bubble can still visit each other, stay overnight, and visit outdoor public places together

Of you're in a support bubble this means you have contact with that person as if member of your own household which may include hugging etc as if member of own family. Or, for those in a sexual relationship, sex therefore you are in close contact with them.
It makes zero sense that you'd have to leave beyond a certain time.

So I 'd spend days with support bubble of you wish. It really makes no difference in terms of spreading virus.

Use your common sense. We are still living in a democracy. If there is a real need for you to stay overnight then do it. Do you expect someone to come in and arrest you? seriously...

I'm pretty sure it's allowed. I hope so anyway - me or DH need to drive to collect my mum. She lives five hours away so we'd need to stay over. A second lockdown will really damage her mental health, and I don't think she looked after herself brilliantly in the first one, so we're moving her in with us until after Christmas.

@Requinblanc living in a democracy doesn't give you free reign to do whatever you like...

The nature of my job means I can't be found to be breaking the rules.

Thank you to everyone who has provided useful advice. I'm pleased that it seems to be ok
