Yes. DD's school has 1500 pupils plus all the staff and there's been 1 positive case.

DS is in nursery but yes, definitely. His bubble is off at the moment because of a positive test and we're both really missing it.

Of course. I literally don't know a single parent who is anxious about Covid re their children - not one. The only anxiety I have heard expressed is that schools might close, which absolutely no parent I know wants.

I’m not sure I understand the logic. Within a fairly short time of lockdown having started, won’t the risk start to decrease? If anything the highest risk time to send them to school is now. Once new measures come into place, the R should start to drop.

Agree the safety of them if not vulnerable is probably negligible between school and home but most are worried about the children spreading it to the wider family who could be vulnerable

I really think that the schools should provide an option for remote learning to keep both teachers and parents safe. Lockdown 2.0 has the colder weather to complicate things further. Why does the government need the worse case scenarios to become a reality before they act??
