Have tried Ocado, Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrison’s and NO delivery slots either for 2 weeks or none at all.

Why??? Is something going on that I haven’t heard about?

The new lockdown restrictions is making everyone panic and reserve more slots again

I don't understand why. FFS. Shops are staying open. There is NO FUCKING NEED TO PANIC BUY.

I've got my usual Sainsbury's sits for the next two weeks. Could book one for tomorrow if I wanted to.

People are fucking idiots, has nothing been learnt since last time?

Sainsburys is booked up between now and Saturday, but plenty of slots available from then on for me?

Is it panic buying (you dont need an online slot for that)? Or maybe people who are vulnerable to the virus are worrying about going into supermarkets to shop, what with the rise in cases and all.

Lots of slots for next week on Ocado where I am? Are you somewhere remote?

LemonTT · 22/09/2020 15:40

The only reason why would be that idiots keep trying to whip up panic buying by posting about panic buying on social media.

Absolutely no evidence of it.

People who have found themselves isolating for 14 days may well be the reason for increased bookings.

Have you tried Aldi or the Co-op on Deliveroo?

I never usual use delivery, always shop instore, this week I've had to do a covid test and our whole household is having to isolate, so I've had to get food delivered. I should imagine this might be the case for others too.

I didn’t realise you could book two weeks ahead with Sainsbury’s now, their app is still only a week ahead, just checked their website so I’ve booked for next week as well - thank you, would never have known.

Delivery wise there isn’t much between now and the weekend but there’s lots of click and collect.

Loads here, even some for tomorrow. I do question the motives of people who write these kind of threads.

Yes it’s to make everyone totally bonkers and go out shopping.

No it’s a gripe from a single mother, who works full time and doesn’t always want to spend her life fighting a 3yo in a supermarket.

Current mood: no facking delivery slots and people going bananas for a conspiracy theory Confused

I just had my last shop delivered yesterday. Booked 2 days prior, no problems with slots.
Checked now out of curiosity. Virtually no slots left til next Sunday (which is when I want one for so thanks, I've booked that now!).

I wonder if it is a mix of panic and self isolaters.
