Schools won’t be going abroad this year, will they?

Posting this in the full knowledge that no-one has a crystal ball!

DC (Yr10) is due to go to Italy in March. School stopped chasing instalments towards the end of last term, and I appreciate they have more immediate concerns right now - I don’t expect them to be communicating on it for a while yet.

I really can’t see it going ahead, but DC thinks I’m being too pessimistic. Am I?!

Government guidance is not.

Our school abroad trips have already been cancelled, as have the Junior and Senior class trips to Washington DC and New York City. The September trip to DisneyWorld has been rescheduled to March, and they will go by bus -- not plane.

My DD school Y6 go to France, it is usually September, they have changed it to April, I think they should book PGL now to avoid the rush locally!

No, think the guidance is no over night trips.

If you mean this year as in 2020 then no.

If you mean this academic year 2020-2021 then maybe.

Our Autumn term trips have been moved to the summer term at the moment.

My son had been going to go on a German exchange in December which was cancelled a while back when it became abundantly clear that the June visit from the German kids couldn't happen. It's a shame as it was intended to support their GCSE work (going into yr 11).
