I'd be grateful for a quick sanity check from those who have been continuing to pay their cleaner throughout this, as I'm in a bit of a moral conundrum.
Have you agreed that your cleaner can now return? If so, what steps have you agreed that s/he'll take to keep you both safe? If not, are you continuing to pay your cleaner and for how long do you think you'll carry on?
My lovely cleaner's husband is a carer so potentially both she and he are in contact with a lot of people, in indoor settings. She also has 2 DC at different schools from each other and from my DC. Until now, she hasn't returned but we've carried on paying her. Unfortunately, I don't feel that we can carry on doing this indefinitely without a plan for her to return. I've generally been on the more cautious end of the scale - we haven't been to a restaurant or used holiday clubs etc - and I feel a bit anxious about her returning. That said, DH has pointed out that when my DC return to school next month, they'll be sharing a classroom (without even the smallest bit of social distancing) with lots of key workers' kids and so once we're back at school, we will already have accepted that level of risk.
