Sturgeon want ‘to cry’ at her own poor decision making?

Looking at entirely predictable images of young people imbibing alcohol with no social distancing following HER decision to open pubs inside and out makes Nicola Sturgeon ‘want to cry’.

How dare she.

Why? at least she acknowledging the risks of this v difficult balancing act!
On the other hand, Johnson is encouraging us all to go out and get pissed plus eat loads and get fat.

I know who i'd rather have as the UK's PM at this time.

Boris is acknowledging it is a difficult balancing act but isn’t saying he wants to cry because the thing that was entirely predictable but she decided to do anyway happened as predicted. What right has she to cry? Cry at what? Her own decisions? Maybe she should try apologising first rather than self-pity,

They've different ways of reacting - and both politically had to open pubs once cases & deaths fell

I'm no Indie fan, but NS has done much better than BJ during this crisis

It's frustrating for all of us to watch SD being ignored in some pubs,
after all the sacrifices of lockdown

To be fair - she only said the pubs could open . She didn’t tell the idiots to go and crowd outside them like that .

God knows what’s wrong with people - I live just twenty miles south and everyone here is absolutely astonished at the utter stupidity of those standing outside that bar last night . Ditto many of our smaller towns and villages that are now heaving with tourists who think its perfectly acceptable to piss in the street - nothing wrong with promoting tourism, but there’s everything wrong with the idiots that think they’ve free reign to behave as they like .

Sturgeon v Boris: interesting naming choices. I suspect you may not be the most considered and balanced of posters.

I'm not sure wanting to cry at the outcome of a decision you made knowing full well what would happen is a particularly good.

A female response of despair at people's inability to be socially minded or responsible is not weak. I believe that Nicola Sturgeon wants the best for Scotland. I truly believe that Boris wants the best for Boris.

@Aesopfable I agree with you.
We in the Uk are not like the continent with regards to handling drinking in many cases.

Why did she open the Spain corridor when cases were most definitely rising only to close it 5 days later.
Where are the 25k laptops promised in May to underprivileged children?
Why is she not allowing gyms to open?

Did you see the queues outside Soul Bar? No fan of Nippy but they were ridiculous. I think a lot of people seeing those pictures were disappointed.

What she has seen may be what she feared would happen but I don't think it was wrong to give people a chance. I can understand why it is painful for her to see that chance thrown back in the faces of those who have worked so hard to get to the point where we can start having more freedom.

This. What is bothering her is the lack of understanding from the idiots who all need to go to the pub. Yes they can open, but common sense dictates if the pub is too busy you stay away.

As for Prestwick yesterday - Thousands of people gathered to watch a fucking plane. Idiots. Every last one of them. What's so difficult about staying away from busy situations?

Cry at the irresponsibility and complete lack of care for others. She has been crystal clear throughout about how she expects people to behave and the consequences if they don’t. I live in England. Wish she was our PM.

Looking at the behaviour of people in our (holiday) town, I could cry too. Their behaviour is no more my fault than is Nicola Sturgeon responsible for the behaviour of those she is referencing though.

The sad reality is that too many people in this country just don’t give a damn about others. She was no doubt hoping for the best in people and has been sorely let down. Isn’t that worthy of a blub?

I can't bear BJ and he has made terrible decisions. NS presents incredibly well and is much more believable but has made equally crap decisions. Both Scotland and England are in the top 3 of worst countries re covid and didn't she cover up an early outbreak in Edinburgh

Great points - the care home scandal is such a tragedy.

She should be crying that Scotland has the third highest death rate in Europe despite having a small and widely dispersed population, and the highest rate of care home deaths! She should be crying about the new hospitals still empty because of SNP incompetence, or the utter shame of selling SNP branded facemasks! She's no better than Boris, just presents better which isnt difficult.

NS has certainly talked a brilliant game , with her daily Covid broadcasts , and has managed to convince the sheeple , by pulling the wool over their eyes , that she has done a wonderful job . She sounds much more in control and Calm compared to Bojo

However like a lot of things with the Scottish Government , they are good at talking the talk , and not good at delivering.
I would not call the third highest excess deaths in Europe a good job by any strength of imagination. Scotland has a very low population density , and a low percentage of BAME population , We should have done far far better
The numerous DNR -do not resuscitate notices that the elderly and even children with life limiting conditions were encouraged to agree to is abhorrent , and appears to have been widespread across Scotland
The care home fiasco / death rate is dreadful

England - 856 new cases.
Scotland - 18 new cases.

Hmm
