Would I be able to get a test with these symptoms? The NHS website talks about fever, cough and loss of sense of smell. Just got a bad head and nothing is shifting it. Been in bed all afternoon and never ever sleep during the day.

Unless you have loss of smell or taste, a cough or a high temp i dont think so.

Fyi i have had a headache for a week, 90% sure its hayfever and ive never had it before! People i know that suffer regularly have said its the worst they have ever had it, so that could be possible

You can still get a test. You don’t have those main particular symptoms. Any cold/ flu like symptoms including headache, aching muscles, breathless etc are all symptoms. I would advise test on the safe side. (Work for nhs). I recently helped book a test for someone as they had abdominal pains and feel breathless. It was unlikely to be Covid 19 but the gp wanted a test to be on the safe side due to breathlessness.

Would hay fever cause terrible fatigue though? Head is banging now. Will see what tomorrow brings. Thanks for replies.

Yes, you can get a test. It asks you if you have the 3 main symptoms. You can choose no & still continue. I tested for a bad sore throat, bad headache & dizzy. Mostly as I had medical appointments later that week & I felt I should rule it out!

I would. The govt want as many people testing as possible, so you aren't taking tests away from anyone. A bad headache that won't budge is on the list of reported symptoms, even if not in the top 3.

Only other thing I can think of is migraine, which gives you awful fatigue

A bad headache could be the atmosphere at the moment, it is very oppressive and humid.

Hi I’m feeling exactly as you described. Did you get a test @jitterbugintomybrain ?

Terrible fatigue is one of the major symptoms of hay fever that I have. I think it is a common symptom.

A relative had confirmed covid 19 and the main symptom was the worst headache she’s ever had, exhaustion, then a fluctuating temperature for a couple of days. Never got a cough. Better after a few days.

Yes I got the test and it was negative although I'm not sure I swabbed my tonsils very hard as it made me gag to do it.
Feel much better now, am putting it down to hormones and being 48.

Thanks for replying! I feel rubbish but it’s like a tiredness I can’t shake and a bad headache. Also feeling sicky and woozy. I stopped the piriton as I was blaming them but it’s not any better

My hay fever is terrible at the moment, the worst it's ever been. My nose is so blocked I can hardly breathe and antihistamines aren't touching it.

It sounds like none of you use the zoe covid 19 app to log symptoms
(or their lack). Headache and terrible fatigue are both covid symptoms, among others which aren't top 3 either. Of course it could be something else but it's good you got a test sorted out just in case. Good luck.

We have been completing the Covid app everyday. When I told it I had fatigue and headaches I was invited to go for a test along with my husband and daughter who is in lockdown with us. We went the following day at 10.30am and received the results at 18.30 the same day. We were all negative. It didn’t make me better but it put our minds at rest.
