Do I need a test?

DS (2 years old) all but lost his voice on Saturday, no other symptoms and he's back to normal today.

Since Saturday I've had a sore throat, which seems to have eased off and I've now got that water up your nose feeling. Been checking our temps but they've both been normal.

Not sure if I need a test (I have severe health anxiety) don't want to waste resources etc, but at the same time don't not want to get one if it's needed?

Would rather not have to swab toddler though, terrified of causing injury and he's generally quite uncooperative at the best of times!

You haven’t had any of the three key symptoms that mean you need a test. You don’t have to have one.
