Thread number who knows , because I've lost count. We're adapting to normal 1.0 and lost our status as murderers. The grass is not off limits anymore and we can eat a bag of crisps outside with being accused of "premeditated picnics". Not a pan or pot in sight.

Oh well, there's still the second wave.Grin

Hello! I feel a bit rubbish, which is probably because I have just had a whooping cough vaccine. Getting it required me to shout across the surgery car park to the nurse to say why I was there. And they wonder why people aren't presenting at surgeries with cancer symptoms. (Seriously, can't they set it up on an app or something? Dying of embarrassment is already a known phenomenon.)

Howdy folks!

I've got a phone appointment with my actual GP shortly about migraines and stuff. Hopefully he'll get me sorted out!

Name changed , I'm the yellow one.

Crow I had a suspicion that might be the case with your brother. Definitely explains his behaviour, he has an interest in controlling her and I can see why you're worried about her mental health. I wonder if her physical health is deteriorating too.

Good luck with the GP.

I wasn't that fussed about the shout across the car park for myself (as a vaccine is not an embarrassing thing to be having) but it's really not going to help with getting, e.g. people to go in with suspicious lumps on the breast, is it? (To be honest, I'd just scream that across the car park as well, but my mum for example just wouldn't go.)

Really pleased to hear you've got an appointment Crow. Hope the GP can help sort it quickly.

ComeOnBabyPopMyBubble · 26/06/2020 16:28

I wouldn't either. I'm not as fussed about people seeing things, when I had an issue with my right breast, a lot of people including a man from the cleaning crew(open door) saw them or touched them.

There's no way I'd shout it over a car park though.

That is good about the appointment Crow

Funnily enough my DB's concern about leaving DM to her own devices is inheritance related. In his case it is all to do with controlling who inherits 'Dad's Money'. He isnt angling to inherit himself but he is absolutely determined that other DB shouldnt get his hands on 'Dad's Money'.

It isnt a huge amount of money, mostly it is in DM's home which DM isnt allowed to change without DB's permission eg she would like to have a small conservatory but he wont let her.

Anyway, DF has been gone for over 25 years, it is DM's money to do with as she will but DB cant see that.

This Covid thing has made him odder and more paranoid. He is proud about shouting at people to keep their distance.

GP appointment went well. He's given me something to try that covers both neuralgia and migraine so fingers crossed!!

DB is definitely getting a huge power trip. DM wanted to pay someone to sort her rather large garden out and he point blank said no, you can't do that. He also loves shouting at 'morons' who invade his space.

The pandemic definitely gave free reign to a lot of men (and women) to finally let their controlling,Napoleon. Complex ways shine along with the satisfaction that they are being listened to.

I'm glad I'm an only child (officially) my mum might be a twat , but she's my twat to deal with without anyone's interference.

I looked at holidays, but prices are still too high and towards the end of august means possible quarantine and not being able to go to work in September. Now that's a brand new can of worms for MN.

We need a good thunderstorm here it's been sunny first thing then misty all day but warm and clammy. Air clearing definately required.
Am resigned to no hols this year cant afgord any and i didn't get my hols in at work (had no idea I had to by a certain time) so probably will be told when to take them, not that it matters just now anyway, everything is on FB apparently they cant just fecking talk to you in person and I never do FB! Now I have it pinging half a dozen times a day with bloody photos and messages for my work area or general store. 😠 I dont care about photos of food!!!!!!!! Just talk to me ffs I am there same time as you!

Good gravy don't surgeries have actual doors you can stand near to talk to folk? I just wait at door and nurse lets me in!

I am tentatively looking at holidays for next year. Campsite in the south of France in mid June in a mobile home.

I feel for you Willow, we have a work equivalent of facebook. I keep getting messages to tell me that someone senior has made 'an important statement'. Normally something meaningless and trivial.

I am quite jealous as today the third of my friends has announced they are off on a holiday in a few weeks... abroad no less!

Not even worth mentioning to DH as he thinks it’s wonderful we are saving so much money by not going on holidays this year.

OH did get me slightly excited and looking at holidays and after about an hour he told me they might get really busy at work and not be able to take the time off anyways.

The guy gives me whiplash some days.

No hols for us this year. I'm saving to move somewhere a bit more rural. Not too rural. Just a bit of balance. I'm in spitting distance from the city centre and it's too close for my liking long term. Hopefully by the time I'm in a position to move, most of the travelling and house viewing restrictions will have been lifted!

Probably no holidays for us this year but at least work will let me carry over unused leave and I can use it when I get back from maternity.

I did start off speaking at the door of the surgery, but was then told to go and stand by (but some distance from) another door, which is where the shouting happened!

Just had bacon sandwiches for lunch. DH has got into home curing (seriously, it is a bargain). Today's offering was maple and honey cured. It was delicious.

Turned over ripe strawberries into strawberry vodka.

If there is a second wave soon I think we are sorted!
