Any views on multi family UK holidays?

We've got a SC holiday booked with three households (extended family) sharing one house. Do I assume from today's announcement that this won't be allowed to go ahead? Anyone else in this situation?

Yes we're in same situation for August. 3 household SC holiday, then a few weeks later another 3 household SC holiday with different families. They'd need to relax the rules further before these would be allowed...

Poor you, at least we've only got one trip booked. Need to decide whether to pay the balance and hope the guidance will have changed again by late July, or lose the deposit and stay at home.

What dates are you going? We are getting a review every four weeks at the moment, I doubt the rules will change for seeing more households before then. If your holiday is after that though it may be ok.

Is it possible to work something out and only 2 of the households go which would be within the guidelines though if you haven’t paid the balance yet I guess it is not until late August/September you are going and it may have changed by then.

It's late July, first week of the summer holidays. Big family celebration (anniversary) so really hard for us not to all go. They hadn't asked for the balance yet (I guess because they didn't know if they'd be allowed to open), but I imagine they'll be asking for it any day now.

Ours are 1st and 3rd week of August. Both large Airbnb houses and the owners have been fab. We will get full refund if we cancel, and have already provisionally booked the same dates next year for no extra charge so we can switch if needed at last minute. Both are allowing final balance to be paid last minute, so we can see if guidance changes.
