I'll reply- no, I don't think we will ever pay it off, but at least interest rates are very low!

Depends, if the UK embraces this chance to invest in high-tech manufacturing, which the UK is actually quite good at, come up with workable green energy solutions and alternatives to plastic, invest in research and development with the universities. What better time to do it?
