Paid for an antibody test. Should hopefully get results Monday. Or tues.

My son and I had some symptoms from 6th/7th may for around a week. I didn't have a cough but my son did have a slight one.

Has anyone else had one of these tests?

Anyone?

Anyone had symptoms and test result negative? Positive?

Guess it's just the anticipation.. wonder if its possible to have had it and not produce antibodies?

My NHS son has just had the results - negative. Can't believe it. He got in mid March, not hospitalised but visited at home by an ambulance and told he could still breathe and talk. Had about 5 weeks off work and is still exhausted every day, in pain every day.

Now he is thinking did he really have it. But if he didn't, it was something exactly like it.

Apparently the tests are suppose to be accurate up to about 40 days - he is at about 80 days.

My sister in law is a Nurse and had covoid symtoms a few weeks ago but tested negative. She has now had the anti-body test which was positive.

NHS worker, had mine this week which came back negative.

I was sure I'd had it back in March - cough, sore throat, chills and tiredness. Am wondering if the antibodies don't hang around for long, as a previous poster said.

My NHS daughter and her houseful of NHS friends thought they'd had it late March/early April, but her test came back negative.
