25th June I think. Feels like ages away!

Is it? Are they every four weeks now?

Yep, they’ve changed the law so it’s now every 4 weeks.

So in theory the R rate could increase rapidly and they wouldn't review until June 25th?

That's just the longest it can go without review. Doesn't mean nothing can change until then - indeed it looks like we'll get some further unlocking announcements this week.

"Health Secretary Matt Hancock, in a written ministerial statement, said the*maximumreview period* will change from 21 days to 28 days.
“This will allow decisions to align more closely with the period of time necessary to assess the impact of previous changes on key data feeds, including the R (infection) rate.

“The Government will also keep all the measures under continual review and will account to Parliament on an ongoing basis.”

The reviews arecontinual and ongoing.

I'm actually expecting to see more of the kind of short-notice lifting that we have been seeing, such as the shielded advice last weekend, the masks announcement this the weekend, that sort of thing.
