Thank you.

Week 11

Had a reasonably good week.
Symptoms still up and down, made worse by coming on my period again on Wednesday (shaky, dizzy sick feeling and painful legs).

I can manage most things (cooking, light cleaning, laundry etc.). I get very tired easily and have to still pace myself. Everything takes double the time now and I get quite frustrated with myself.
My main symptoms, not including minor niggles are SOB on exertion, occasional palpitations, upper back pain, chest pain, headaches, feeling my blood sugars are going up/down, feeling like I'm getting a UTI, wheezy(severe asthmatic anyway.) and my balance is off.

I am in the shielding group and went out for the first time this week for a walk.I only got to the third house along and had to come home as i felt so sick and shaky. I had to take it easy for the rest of the day.Sad
I live in a semi rural area so I'm going out with DH in the car tomorrow and going to try and find(daytrippers everywhere) a quiet spot to walk. I have even dragged my walking stick out.Sad

Hoping everyone is making progress. Hugs to you all. Flowers

Placemark.

Sorry to hear you're still struggling @Rosesofeyam. Good to hear you can potter around the house. I think it's muscle loss that causes the shaky legs. I think we're all trying to build up slowly...

Thank you @andslee

@Rosesofeyam I'm glad your week has gone okay though sorry you're still having all those symptoms. I hope you enjoy being out in the fresh air tomorrow, even if it's just a very short walk.

Thanks for the new thread, hope you’re all ok.

@Rosesofeyam sorry you’re having a tough time - good idea to walk with someone as you can feel very vulnerable like this. On one of my early walks a few weeks back I took the dog to a park 5 mins away and by the time I got there felt terrible and wobbly and had to phone DH and talk to him as I walked back as I was worried I’d pass out. Walking has certainly improved over time though.

The big issue I’ve had yesterday and today is weird heart sensations (different from the pain and palpitations I’ve had until now). Yesterday it was upper sternum pain and a fluttery buzzing feeling (was worrying about fibrillation) and today left shoulder ache all afternoon and lower sternum pain and I’m worrying about heart attacks! I’m probably over anxious but I’m so fed up of the twists and turns as I’d been feeling quite well for a few days. Dr yesterday insisted all my heart issues were down to anaemia but I can’t get the next blood tests to determine type and treatment until next week (and I’m not entirely convinced it’s just that)

@Needsomegoodies I really wish drs wouldn't sound so sure that it's just this or just that. They actually don't know.

I’m on week 11 and still suffering from lung/breathing symptoms and fatigue. I’ve just noticed that I’ve got quite noticeable blue veins on the front of my my lower legs that seem more prominent than before. Has anyone had this as a symptom of Covid? Maybe it’s related to blood flow?

Report
AndsLee · 05/06/2020 21:39

Yip, in my hands especially. Really prominent...

@Frankiefree hi, I'm week 11 too and have noticed I've now got a lot more purple thread veins than I had before covid

Report
Frankiefree · 05/06/2020 21:47

Why do you think this is? Is it anything to be worried about in relation to blood clots?

Report
fedupofbed · 05/06/2020 21:47

Yup me too with the veins

Hi all, day 80 I think and a really mixed bag to report
Wednesday, felt quite good. Thursday, felt utterly terrible with headache, fatigue, chills and shivers and sweats. Today, hardly any sleep, voice is back (awol for 6 weeks) managing quite well with just the odd “oooh I’m a bit tired now”. It honestly feels like someone flicked a switch today and I’m fairly well.
The bloody GP had not arranged my blood tests though. Turned up at hospital, the looked at the paperwork and refused to do them. Am so fed up. And I was going to get an antibody test.

Thanks for the new thread.
Think I'm on day 76 or something.
My main symptom today is my legs burning. From thigh down to feet, they are hot and aching like the growing pains I used to get as a kid. This is a new symptom for me.

Report
Egghead68 · 06/06/2020 06:47

Morning. Day 77/78. Pulled a muscle in my shoulder doing gentle yoga and it’s very painful. I think it happened because I’m so out of condition.

@LetsBeSensible that is super-annoying to go to all the effort of getting to the hospital to be told that. I hope it doesn’t take your GP too long to correct the paperwork.

Hope everyone has an OK day.
