Face masks for glasses wearer's??

Any mask I've used causes my glasses to steam up. I seen somewhere someone saying to put pipe cleaners through the top of thees and mask so it fits into the shape of your face. Where is get pipe cleaners God only knows, I haven't seen them in 40 years.
Anyway, has anyone bought a mask that works with glasses?
I'm not making it, I'd buy it.

As someone who has to wear one all day at work, the only option is a proper fit tested mask such as the nhs use in various departments.
As someone who doesn’t qualify for such a rare beast.... the best option I’ve found is a homemade cotton mask. The blue surgical types you buy in bulk are the next best but make sure you pinch the nose band hard for a good fit. However I find they are so bulky my vision is obscured by the bulk of the mask and the fibres impede my breathing.
It really might be a case of trialling then until you find the least worst mask for you.

This is the problem. Your glasses steam up because your warm breath is escaping which is the crux of why they are not effective

Only an FFP3 mask would stop that happening as worn in covid critical care areas

The plastic wire ties for food bags work also. Put a couple in the seam at top and mould to your nose.

Just over 3 weeks ago I had to be treated in hospital (urgent but not an emergency) and they gave me a disposable mask to wear. I didn't have any problems with my glasses steaming up at all. As a PP said, I did pinch the metal bit so it was quite tight but that's because I have a small nose and I didn't want it to fall off Blush

For the blue surgical like masks, I find putting your glasses on over the mask (so the bridge presses down around the nose with the bottom of your lenses over the mask) stops them steaming up.

You'll find pipe cleaners I. With the kids stationary at most superstores.

Alternatively you can buy rolls of garden ties from the pound shop or wilko, that you cut to size, it's the same stuff as sandwich ties but in a long continuous roll.

I was given a mask at the hospital for one of my appointments and it's one of the only masks I've tried that hasn't steamed my glasses up. It had a wire built into the top seam that you can mould around your nose so it sat flush against my nose and face. I'm guessing these are hospital grade masks though so not sure if you can buy them.

Try Etsy and message sellers, many can put the wire in.

The bra shaped masks work well with a band in for the nose. You could attach one yourself if you needed to.

Coffee from Lidl has these on, which work well.

An aside, your glasses steaming up while wearing a fit tested FFP3 mask doesn't mean it's ineffective. It's the heat, which rises, from your breath that steams up your glasses.
