My understanding is that if you have been in contact with someone who tests positive, you will get a phone call telling you to self isolate for 14 days.

Will it be parents who get the phone call or teenagers? I have an image of my 14 year old telling me he has had a call and then having 2 weeks off school.

Think they have to speak to the parent/carer first to get permission.

I've seen quite a few tweets about people assuming that texts/calls will be spam/scams.

Bigchoc, if you see this, do you know how they are handling this in Germany?

I have been wondering this. The science lady on the daily briefing said it would be perfectly obvious it was genuine as they would sound professional but that sounded ridiculous. Of course scammers would sound convincing!

If an employee fancies a fortnight off work on full pay, what’s to stop them saying they’d got a Text /call?
