Wales - 5 mile limit on seeing another household

So how long, realistically, until those of us who don't live within 5 miles of our families can see them? I have to watch people go back to some kind of normality, reunite with friends and family whilst I stay isolated purely because I live rurally and am more than 5 miles from pretty much anything? I'm in tears.

Oh that's rotten Sad In Scotland the five-mile limit is for exercise but you can go further to visit family, you just aren't meant to go indoors to use their loo etc. That seems a more realistic guideline.

5 miles sounds like it is written by someone in a city... It can be nothing in a rural area.

It's almost like the Welsh minister isn't aware that large amounts of Wales are more than five miles from basically anything.

My son who is vulnerable lives 8 miles from me. I have driven there every day and not once have I been stopped. It isn't really enforceable especially in rural areas where supermarkets may be and usually are more than 5 miles away. It isn't fair to those in rural areas and the FM says that but he won't change the guidelines/rules. I am waiting to see if they have a plan for schools, as I would like to know where I stand in terms of preparing to go back into the classroom.

Five miles ‘as a general rule’. Interpret that as you will. They do say that many people in Wales will need to travel further to shops etc.
