BOO FOR BORIS JOHNSON TODAY AT 8pm..

Boris is a disgrace to our nation.
Contradicts himself on so many levels.

If I was able to go and leave my children in child care with family then I would still have my job!!! Smh Boris

Is it actually a thing? I thought it was just something someone joked about on a thread here somewhere?

Sparklingbrook · 26/05/2020 18:31

NO

FFS. I sincerely hope this is a joke or someone seriously needs to grow up. I really don’t like the man (and like Dom Cum even less) but really??

Seriously guys it's not a joke it's actually a thing going around... I dislike them all to be honest.

But yes tonight at 8pm

This is ridiculous (and I strongly believe DC should have lost his job).

Ridiculous.

I thought it was last night? Anyway I'll say the same on here as I did on the last thread. It's embarrassing and childish and I will lose all respect for any of my neighbours who take part in it.

People are sitting at home disappointed, upset and angry at Dominic Cummings and Boris Johnson's responses.
Booing allows a public display of fustration and disapproval.
It's harmless and heartfelt.
We're in this together, or are meant to be.
If you don't want to, fine don't.

jadey0891 · 26/05/2020 18:40

Sounds ridiculous but when it is broadcasted all over tv then Boris will have to do something about it. Some people will disagree with it but like I said in my thread. If Cummings could do that because he never had childcare then myself and many others wouldn't have had to resign or lose jobs because we haven't had the childcare.

Can't we have a 'be quiet for FrontPaw'?

If it's not people screeching outside in the street, or hollering at zoom next to open windows, or neighbours and their kids going stir crazy (and people seem to be going nocturnal around here)...

Report
StatisticalSense · 26/05/2020 18:42

It won't be broadcast on TV, other than possibly in a comedy programme making fun of adults behaving like they are 3 years old.

@Wewearpinkonwednesdays

People are frustrated love. Boris doesn't know what he is doing. How n you tell a nation one thing and then allow your aide's men to go wherever he wants because of childcare. It's absolutely ludicrous

It might be ludicrous but your just gonna look like a ninny standing on your doorstep telling nooooo into the night sky. And Boris knows people are pissed off, he doesn't care, he's in the job for years to come so worry about you hating him later

Report
LovingitlikeTHIS · 26/05/2020 18:48

You lost your job because you went to stay in a house near your Mum? I think you might have grounds for unfair dismissal.

Report
itsgettingweird · 26/05/2020 18:48

Are the BBC having it live?! With flashing lights etc?

If they are it may actually get the message across. If they aren't it's just a bunch of people booing in random streets.

Dom needs to go. And it's heading towards Boris needing to walk with him.

But there are limits.

Shinyletsbebadguys · 26/05/2020 18:54

If I hear any stupid pointless booing tonight I will laugh my arse off. For that reason please crack on I could do with a laugh

Report
AnnPerkins · 26/05/2020 18:57

It’s an awful idea. You’ll end up with neighbours arguing in the street and god knows what else.

The NHS clapping thing works because it’s not controversial. Not everyone in your street will agree with you about this.

It's not a pantomime love. It's ridiculous that grown adults think this is a good idea. It's embarrassing.

If you have a point to make why not write to your MP? The whole "boo for Boris" seems, to me at least, a childish protest which will accomplish nothing.
