Do we think the PM Is going to allow the rest of us to hang out in our gardens now?

I think DC is giving a big fuck you to everyone who has stuck to the rules.

I think he's coming across very well and i think the media is showing their worst side. I'm a lefty btw.

I was on the fence, felt for him and then it seemed like blatant lies. He didn't even apologise.

He's a complete disgrace. What absolute bolloxology the whole statement is.

DonLewis · 25/05/2020 17:06

Not particularly interested in the political ins and out. Just wondering if it's a precursor to us being allowed to socially distance in our own gardens?

He's not telling any story of hardship worry and distress that's any different to thousands of others with fewer resources at their disposal.
The "I was harassed at home in London" argument is bollocks. Call the police, then.
Nope, nothing said that has changed me view that he saw one rule for him and another for everyone else.

If his wife had symptoms she should have been self isolating not travelling anywhere. He looks like he's going to cry. He's been a disgrace.

Report
Arseit · 25/05/2020 17:09

It’s absolute bollocks and that Barnard Castle made-up bullshit is just yet another big “fuck-you plebs”. Seriously, how stupid do they think we are.
No regrets, no apology, “I think I’ve acted reasonably.”
It’s a fucking disgrace and shows total contempt for everyone else.

Report
DominaShantotto · 25/05/2020 17:12

I don't think he even has contempt for everyone else. I think "everyone else" as in the concept of sentient human beings and not just figures on a spreadsheet and in a data model just simply doesn't exist for him. It's his little "Cum-bubble" and the "Downing Street bubble" and the other people on earth are just minions to be modelled.

Babymamamama · 25/05/2020 17:13

He should have been self isolating for 14 days if his wife had symptoms. I'm not sure why he thought he could get back to work. Surely he should have been working from home. Yes he's taken us all for mugs.

Can't be bothered watching.
Are there lots of lovely roses in the rose garden? I bet it's pretty. I wonder whether the gardener is still coming. Or has Boris done a Coogan and furloughed him/her.

Might be, fingers crossed.

I don't think he ought to be referred to as DomCum. Just sounds wrong.

TBH, I see that the media is banging on about this for all it's worth, like we should care about it, but personally I don't give a flying fig whether the man travelled to Barbados, never mind Durham or wherever it was. The papers just love a witch hunt.

The garden is lovely. As is mine. And I'd love my mates round in my lovely garden. We could hold a press conference if it'd help?

I have no idea why he couldn't WFH using TEAMS or the phone like everyone else has had to do instead of all that bollocks of being needed back in London...

He is defending himself as well here as my 8 year old did, when caught holding a pair of scissors in her hand with a chunk of her sister's hair on the floor when she apparently "didn't do anything wrong" the other day. Same tactics, same body language!

I think he has come across quite well, and I'm no Tory or Boris lover. The journalists keep repeating the questions that others have already asked.

Report
Babymamamama · 25/05/2020 17:17

He should have learnt from the example of the Scottish medical adviser who was gaily tripping off to her second home until she got found out by the press and called out in it. He was arrogant to think he was above his own guidance.

Report
DonLewis · 25/05/2020 17:18

Yes, yes, all of that. But if they can hang out it the garden, can we too?

The journalists are repeating their questions because he shows no remorse. Also how can relatives help if you are supposed to remain within your own household.

I particularly enjoyed the bit about judging what he needed to discuss with the prime minister and what he could take decisions about himself. Confirming what we always knew.

I fucking hate the media... The all ask the same question in the hope he says something wrong and then slate him for it... Shame on all those journos disgusting behaviour when people are dying and losing their jobs and lives and all they care about is someone who took his kid up to stay on a farm... Twats
