Is BoJo purposely backing DC to cause outrage?

I have been wondering about this but it might just be the conspiracist in me. Boris Johnson must know that backing Dominic Cummings will cause a lot of people to be angry and thinking there is one set of rules for them and another for everyone else, so why should they stay away from their families if others don't have to. I have seen on here and on social media lots of people saying well if DC does it then I am going to go and see people.

In that way if there is another peak of the virus then BoJo can say 'well I told everyone not to mix but they did it anyway, and it had nothing to do with government advice.'

What are your thoughts?

This crossed my mind this morning.
I think DC is an uncontrollable psychopath who has a lot of dirt on Boris and therefore is untouchable thou, I think that's what is going on. DC doesn't give a shit what anyone thinks about him or what the press say so he does as he pleases.

I agree, DC knows far too much.

Boris can't go against his boss - simple as that. He doesn't give a toss what the rest of us think.

DC = Machiavellian ‘genius’ = gets ‘caught’ = public outrage = ‘ if he can do ‘x’ so can I’ = herd immunity

DC's overarching plan might well be a mass cull 🤷🏼‍♀️

I think the same, after all he doesn't seem to mind if a few old people die and has links to and/or sympathy with eugenicists.

It's the same as the school's situation. They tell the public schools will be phasing back, send out guidance they know schools and unions will have concerns about + schools and unions raise concerns = successful strategy for promoting anti union sentiment and putting parents against schools, which conveniently distracts attention from government failings

Same for the shift from "stay at home" to "stay alert". We're still meant to be staying home most of the time. They could have said "stay at home" and then said we're releasing restrictions on these areas, but they didn't. They stopped the stay at home message and now they can blame the public for any second spike because they weren't alert enough.

I'm alert to the failings in this government. There are plenty!

I assume DC ah as some serious dirt on BoJo that he threatened to make public.

I'm also picturing him like Doug Stamper in the early House of Cards for anyone who's seen it...

I agree with this as well. He must have some dirt on him. I suspect a lot of people do.

A bbc reporter commented that DC was likely given a press conference because it wasn’t fair for MP’s to be defending his actions especially whilst they can’t speak to him 1:1 about it.

I detected a hint of throwing DC to the wolves to be honest.

No. I think BJ is protecting DC because he doesn't have the foggiest idea what to do without him, other than 'stay being prime minister'.

He has no policy except hoping people like him, no strategy and no ideas so he relies on D.C. for all of it. If Cummings goes, everyone will realise that BJ is naked.

I thought it was only me who thought this way and I have been designing myself a lovely tin foil hat and wondering how to get the DCs de-vaccinated.

It does seem very convenient that a few days everyone was too scared to leave their house whereas now everyone's ignoring lockdown because if DC doesn't have to follow the rules neither do they.

I think the sky news journalist had a point when she asked bojo if he wouldn’t be able to run the government without DC (he didn’t answer).

BJ is morphing frighteningly quickly into Trump. He seems incredulous that we don't believe his every word and won't let this go just because he says so.

I wonder who decides that BJ should do yesterday and today's daily update? He's been very invisible from public until this Cumming story broke and it's worrying that this is how you coax him from hiding

My DD 15 must have read something on social media that lockdown will be over mid June in time for BJ’s birthday.

Cummings must have something massive to hold over BJ

for BJ to piss away so much goodwill and authority saving the ratbag

I was pondering the other day how the government were going to convince people that it was safe to go back to normal having done such a good job of convincing them to stay at home so far.
Now I have the answer!

He believes in eugenics. He is also expecting many to die, especially the elderly.

Everyone, please look up Cumming's £800 million project ARPA, as well as Analyst

Why are we allowing Peter Thiel's Palantier access to patient data?

I'm baffled what dirt they could have on Boris that surpasses the kind of things they all get away with these days. The Cameron

"DC's overarching plan might well be a mass cull" right.... because the government spent a fortune paying people to stay at home in order to encourage them to go out and get infected. That's what passes for rational thinking these days is it?

thisenglishlife "He is also expecting many to die" yes me too. There's a virus going around in case you hadn't heard.

Ohnopoo ah you were not aware that people needed to go to work to make money to live? Once the government handouts stop everyone will go out so there's no need for convoluted conspiracies

The really concerning thing here seems to be the ‘what are you going to do about it’ attitude. Yep he did those thing. Nope he won’t apologise. Nope he won’t resign. It’ll all die down in few days. Nothing anyone can or will do. Next.

I personally don't think Boris is backing DC to deliberately cause outrage. Instead I think he is backing DC because he needs him, has an 80 seat majority and 5 years until the next election so basically doesn't give a t*ss what you, I or any voters think or say.
