Furlough after July

Does anyone have any idea what furlough will look like after July? I’ve read that companies will have to pay 25% of wages regardless of whether the staff are working.
My very small company doesn’t have the work and won’t until international travel and events start back up - so will probably have to make us redundant instead of part paying us as they just don’t have the cash .
I can understand huge companies being made to pay or companies that can open eg shops etc come august but I hope that put some measures in place for companies that can’t open until everything is back to normal.

It's going to depend on how much industries are allowed to open by then. I kinda looked it as if rather than having full time employees you would bring as many people back part time and the government would top up their wage allowing you to keep as many of the staff as possible while increasing their hours (and reducing government contribution) as and when trade picks up. This is particularly useful for hospitality/retail/leisure who are going to be under a lot of financial pressure for a long time to come.

It's not going to prevent all the redundancies but it gives businesses a bit of breathing space.

The all depends on just how much businesses currently closed by the Government can actually open by end of July/August. So it may be an industry by industry thing?

It is worrying, i’m not sure I will have a job to go back to. I can see millions of redundancies in August 😢
