Hi had anybody not heard from their primary schools yet on proposed plans for re-opening? We have had emails to say they are closed next week for key workers to prepare & also to say they plan to let us know by the end of this week but so far nothing

We have heard nothing and it’s doing my head in. Had an email last week on Tuesday with a form to fill in to say IF we’d send children back after half term. And Since then nothing.

Not heard anything either, can’t decide whether to send mine back or not so it would help to decide.

The only thing has been a post on a teachers social media showing the new classroom arrangement which has now been shared among reception parents.

We've not heard anything here either. Much the same as you Vicky we had a yes/no form last week asking if we intended to send our dc in and nothing since.

I should have added there...It’s just that I have to start planning (in the loosest sense for returning to work 1st June) so to have a rough idea would be good even though I appreciate that opening is also dependant on the next announcement next week I’m not just assuming it’s all going to go ahead smile

We're the same as @VickyBHF
Have heard that a few schools in the area will not open for year 1 at all. Reception and year 6 on a part time basis.
I have a year 1 child so would like to know whether I even have to worry about making a decision.

My school hasn't communicated plans to parents yet, but I believe my head teacher will be doing so this evening.

She has been working flat out trying to get this organise and only had the report he needed through on Wednesday night. She spoke to the staff it directly linvolves yesterday, and will inform parents today.
I am worried because this doesn't give us long at all to plan and get our classrooms ready etc, and we will need to be in over half term to do it.

If you haven't heard yet, please know that it won't have been because staff are slacking but because there is just so much involved in planning for it.
I don't think my HT has really slept for the past 2 weeks! I really don't envy her position.

Completely agree SleepingMammoth (great name too) I can only imaging how difficult it is for teachers at the moment & really appreciate everything you’re all doing, I can only imagine how difficult it must be

We’ve been told the plans are coming but not seen them yet. Hopefully get them today.

Nothing here apart from a survey about returning. Similar to Shooting Star I need to make plans for returning to work.

Our school wrote to us earlier in week saying they would only be re-opening Year R and not Year 1 too. My DS is in Year R. We've since had a letter explaining how each class will be split into two bubbles (so no more than 15 children in each bubble) with staggered drop off and pick up times. We're South of England if that is of any relevance.

Not from the primary, working on the risk assessment and will let us know when that's completed. The Secondary has already shared their plans for Yr10 & 12.

Just found out this afternoon, keyworker/vulnerable and year 6 only.

Not yet.

Same as a few here - some initial information about the sort of plans they are considering and a survey asking parents whether they will be sending back their kids or not.

Also saying that if you changed your mind from no to yes then there was little chance they could accommodate it. Which probably means lots of people ticked yes when they actually meant 'i don't have a clue yet but need to buy some time.'

Secondary has only sent through surveys about the quality of homeschool teaching but nothing about return plans.

It is stressing me out more than I should let it, to be honest.
