Anyone else fed up today?(4 Posts)
For the first time in lockdown I feel thoroughly fed up! Normally the sunny weather makes it easier but even that hasn’t stopped me feeling fed up today!
Week 9 of working from home, my DP was back in the office today and one day in of working at home by myself and I’m bored of my own company! How is everyone else keeping motivated / upbeat 9 weeks in?!
OP I could have written this myself! Yes, today, for the first time, I'm totally cheesed off, even pottering in the garden. I'm happier when DH is out working as I at least then get some peace as when he's home he's just constantly on the phone to his family. Then there's constant noise from the neighbours with their toddler who has screaming fits and trantrums about four times a day, falling on the floor, banging feet or stamping feet.. it's driving me insane and they're the 'Ignore it, it'll go away' types!!
And then there's covid. Now it's pissing me off. It's all the uncertainty of the rules, when this is happening, when that might happen, this may never happen, do this, do that etc. Arghh! This year we were looking to get new jobs and move to the other end of the UK, go on holiday as usual; haven't seen my elderly father since February, and then the Telegraph reports we may have this virus for years, and basically we have to learn to live with it.. just totally effing fed up. Not even sure if I have any motivation left..
That's just my personal view but of course everyone will have their own reasons.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one feeling like this today!
OP, there was a similar thread last week which I could have posted myself as I felt it was the worst week. It's been my birthday since, I woke up thinking it'd be awful, but I ended up with seven distance visitors at different times, all whom I had a good chat with. It's not easy, but that day showed me that this thing won't drive us into the ground, it might be slow but our loved ones are out there and life is there to rebuild.
