Anyone else have this first world mum lockdown problem? Lighthearted

Please note that this is lighthearted I am obviously aware that there are so much bigger corona related or otherwise problems in the world right now.

That said.

I am COVERED in bruises.

I am used to having the occasional thigh bruise from DD7 climbing onto me for cuddles because she’s always been one of those must sit directly on top of you in your space kids. However, since lockdown not only DD7 but also DS11 have both been climbing all over me for playtime and cuddles (which is yes lovely and adorable and I love them). But they have elbows and chins and hip bones and knees and I am COVERED in absolutely HUGE bruises. My husband counted 27 of them the other night. He doesn’t have them because apparently with lockdown feels dad won’t do it has to be mum. I try to remind them to be a bit more gentle and show them the bruises but also they are children and they are stressed and worried and climbing the walls right now. Anyone else have this?

I regularly have to point out to my dc 'You are standing on my toe'. It's like they don't even notice. (Actually, they definitely don't notice).

I have quite a few, but don't think they're down to the children - just me being clumsy blush However, my hips feel like a 100 year olds after 2 days in a row of football. I'm too unfit to be running around a pitch after a ball!

A 7 year old and 11 year old are clambering all over you, elbowing and chinning you to the extent you are covered in bruises? How strange.

Oh gosh yes. I don’t know whether to be pleased that they’re so secure and comfortable in me being there that they don’t notice they’re LITERALLY STANDING ON ME.

Oh yes. I have teens, and I'm finding bruises in places I haven't had bruises in since they were m toddlers. Like the top of the front of my thigh, from them climbing onto my lap, or using their elbows to prop themselves up.

Most mornings I wake up with some long-limbed creature in bed with me - as well as dh. It's cosy.

They may be grumpy teens straining at the apron strings, but right now they need more physical closeness than they have needed for several years.
