We are/were due to go to Haven on July 9th.

They have announced that from today books will be called “haven hideaway” and will be socially distanced with just the takeaways and shops.

But they have also posted this.

What do you think it means?

Do you think it might actual open anyway, or is there no chance?

Am I being ridiculous to hold onto hope?

They will open I am sure. Just with no evening entertainment or restaurants. The caravans are spaced out, and people will enjoy the local beaches and parks. The holidays are no cheaper though, so we will give haven a miss this year.

They are open from 5th July or something. But as you say , no restaurants/entertainment which is a shame. We are thinking of booking 4 nights for September , maybe some more bits will be open by then

We were booked for June so no offer of a Hideaway for us but we wouldn't have taken it, I know they're going to need to the money badly but charging so much when most of their facilities are closed seems ridiculous to me, but I suppose if you're desperate for a beach getaway maybe its worth it, especially for those who've been locked down without a garden.

If you pay Haven prices, you are paying for all the extra stuff, so seems very expensive to go without it all being open. But it is a holiday, people are desperate for a change of scenery.

Yeah hey will contact you 4 weeks before the holiday with options. So I imagine it will be reduction in cost or move your holiday to next year.

I received an email from Haven referencing the ‘Haven Hideaway’. I have no intention of booking for July purely because I feel any UK holiday this year will be crammed but, I did send them an email expressing dissatisfaction at the fact they are charging the same for the holidays without the facilities.

I think it will certainly be open but restricted as they have described.

We are thinking of booking for sept to go fairly local to a seaside resort (1 hour away) as it's only £240 for a deluxe caravan for mon-fri which doesn't seem bad at all. There's access to a beach and a few different coastal places to visit. Ill be 6 months pregnant by then with second child so might be nice to have a little trip the 3 of us before baby comes

The whole point of these sorts of places for me is the pool and kids entertainment. I'd rather find an air bnb in a nice place if they don't have that.

We are due to go July 11th (Northumberland)

Tbh I am not even bothered if nothing much is open is on site - I will just be glad to be near a beach and somewhere other than my home town

We were due to go 3rd July, only for a weekend and have chosen the voucher to shift the booking to next year.
Now we have to wait for the LCW to release their dates for Tenby 2021 and we can book!

Who the hell would pay to go to Butlins with nothing open! I need to sort my house out for air b&b asap! As much entertainment at my house as there will be at butlins now. I also need to book some campsites sharpish. People will camp, not go to over priced rooms at butlins etc. Argggghhhh, there’s going to be too many people doing all the things I want to do 🙄

We've rescheduled our butlins holiday once but will reschedule again unless everything is open. We're going to go for our Haven holiday if allowed in September as £59 for a midweek at Devon Cliffs in the caravan is fine even if the entertainment etc isn't open, we can go for walks etc.
