another week another argument with OH he’s determined to bring the kids to his mums tomorrow they’ve organised it behind my back he’s just said to me now I’m going to pop over my mums with the kids tomorrow.

I feel like I’m being controlling but then my mum hasn’t seen the kids either. What are others doing?

We haven't seen any family.

But I am meeting my mum one on one outdoors on Friday per the new guidelines, but not taking DS.

No, just dropping shopping off at a distance, quick shout and wave. Facetime for everything else.

I'm not in England, but isn't that still against the English guidelines?

I don’t understand why he’s so eager his mum is still seeing her other grandkids they can bloody wait. I’ve also got a blood disorder so I’m in the vulnerable category. Every week I’m having to argue with him.

It's my birthday on Friday and will likely be the first time I'll ever have spent with without my twin sister. Seriously thinking about breaking the rules but I know its for the best we don't meet up.

Report
Elouera · 12/05/2020 19:52

NO! I even felt guilting going out twice in 1 day- the 2nd time being for a medical need, but not, we have stuck to the rules and not rushing out anywhere. There are still 4000 new cases A DAY, and 600+ deaths A DAY, so NO.

Report
IsntThatYourThirdPlate · 12/05/2020 19:52

All his family are breaking the rules And no one has got sick so he thinks it’s fine to go ahead.

Nope. The most we might do is drop some bits and pieces off to my DM and take DS to wave from the car. That's it though

P0lka · 12/05/2020 19:53

Yes. They've all had it (test confirmed) so I don't see the harm in it, though we are staying apart etc.

No. Not even my children. Don’t be dicks.
