Sinuses and Coronavirus?

I'm a little concerned about some symptoms I've had this week. I'm 7 months pregnant, and for the last 3 days I've had a headache on the right side of my head. Assumed it was a migraine the first day. But the next day it started again. It's worse when I bend over, sneeze or cough.

Was checked over for pre-eclampsia, all clear.

Today is the 4th day of the headache, but it's more widespread now and I am very fatigued and feel generally ill, tired and wiped out.

Sinuses hurt and nose is runny. No appetite. But no fever or cough.

Do I need to do anything or just wait it out and see if these symptoms go?

I haven't left the house since the start of the lockdown other than for midwife appointments. And have been lucky enough to get food deliveries.

I wouldn't be overly worried if I wasn't pregnant Sad

Should I contact midwife/Dr? Or would you just wait it out and hope it passes since it's not typical covid symptoms?

Have you ever suffered with hayfever? It could possibly be that. I have it and it often causes me sinus pain. Check it out with your doctor if you are pregnant though.

I agree, it def could be heyfever with painful sinuses & a runny nose. My heyfever has gone bonkers this year, it makes me feel awful. Headaches, sinus pain, constantly runny nose, itchy & constantly watery eyes and mostly, it just makes me feel horribly groggy & spaced out. I get the same symptoms every year but this year is particularly bad! I can only conclude it’s cos I’m walking in woods & rural areas way more than I normally ever would. Usually I’m holed up in an office!

Equally, could be corona. I’d potentially let your midwife know but there’s nothing anyone can do if it is. You just need to rest & get better. If at any point you are struggling to breathe, get yourself up a doctor. If you feel baby moving less, the usual rules apply. Just make staff aware you have possible symptoms.

And equally could just be end of pregnancy. Your body is working really hard. Headaches are common as is being wiped out!

Hope you feel better soon!

Thank you, I'm probably just panicking... I do suffer with hayfever but it's usually just sneezing and watering eyes, maybe pregnancy has made it worse.

Worried about the lack of appetite and my mouth feels really hot inside if that makes sense.
Think I'll try and nap now and see how I am this evening.

Baby moving fine thankfully Smile
