So you can have a nanny in your house?
In addition you can have a cleaner in your house?

But not family?

My daughter is now employing me as a nanny and a cleaner so I can 'work' for her.

It does seem Like madness but people need to get paid, the economy needs to get going, that is probably more of a priority/essential than family gatherings right now.

Are you going to your daughters daily? I'm asking because I'm thinking of doing the same thing with my mum (although she is 70)

No - I'm not going to my daughter's because it's not allowed.

I just can't understand how cleaners and nannies are allowed in homes (especially when you don't know if they have symptoms) and family members are not allowed in.

My daughter gave birth six and a half weeks ago and we've not seen our granddaughter - but if I was employed as her cleaner I could go in the house?

Does not make sense - employees are allowed in - family isn't.

I really don't understand the difference between employing a 60yo nanny and asking your 60yo mum to babysit.
Just like I don't understand why sitting in apark 2m apart is AOK but sitting garden is forbidden.
Or I can meet my DDad in the park, then leave him and go to meet my DMum in the same park...but I can't see them at the same time.
I'll go along with the rules but am losing motivation when they appear to be so senseless. I'm painfully law-abiding usually, but hate rules that are arbitrary... explain them to me and I'll be happy.
