Because covid 19 was wide spread throughout our community in the last 7 weeks that you were no more likely to get it from a visitor to the U.K. than a U.K. resident. Or because the government have fucked this up too.

Is it so that more flights can be allowed?

I can't see how it can work in the terms the BBC are reporting. Why would you come to UK for business or tourism if you have to self isolate for 14 days when you arrive? Where would you isolate? It sounds like people will be responsible for their own isolation so how could we make sure it happens?

Nothing is offocial yet. This sounds like an unworkable rumour to me.

Aren’t they only enforcing this from the beginning of June?

It will depend on people policing themselves, although I think in other countries they've phoned you every day to make sure you're home. Only works with landlines though. You could be anywhere with a mobile.

ROI is excluded, might make sense to exclude NZ as they appear to be more or less virus-free.
