Shielding after having Covid

If someone over 70 had and recovered from the virus would they still need to be shielded? I’ve googled and can’t find an answer

Yes - they have not substantiated if having the disease makes you immune from reinfection.

Are they in the shielded group? Being over 70 isn't enough in itself to put you into the shielded group.

Were they in the shielding group beforehand? If yes, I'd say they should probably continue.

If they are in he shielded group before getting it then yes they would. If they were just high risk and social distancing then that’s what they do after wards. There is little evidence regarding immunity after having had it so important to continue as you were before catching it
