Looking for opinions on this really.
I am in the extra vulnerable category and am on week 7 of shielding. My DH is also doing the same. We have an adult daughter who has some medical conditions that put her in the vulnerable category.
My DH is an agency worker with a job that involves going into peoples houses (not keyworker) so the employer was understanding that he should not go to work. He isn't be paid which we understand. I work from home anyway so I am still doing that.
DH is now getting depressed that he can't go to work. I feel increasingly guilty that I am the reason. In reality even when lockdown ends, the shielding category could be in for longer.
What are others doing? Are your partners still going to work and if so then what risks do you think there are? This morning I just told him to go back as he was saying so down. He's concerned that leaving mid-tasks looks unprofessional anyway now.
