I've tried searching and can't find any analysis about the actual proportion of the workforce who are working out of the home (essential or well distanced), at home, off sick, retired, unemployed or furloughed. The media seems to have an implicit assumption that people go out to work or aren't working, but there's probably almost half the workforce still working from home surely. The majority of people I know are still working, barring a few who work in areas like sport. Am I missing something and happen to know all of the only home workers in the country as colleagues, friends, neighbours, old colleagues, group members etc? Surely those stats are actually very important to know and to track while lockdown eases. It feels like home working is almost invisible when it's actually a majority experience.
