Covid

Could this still be covid?

I got what I believe to be covid exactly a month ago, felt pretty grim for 2 weeks and then seemed fine again for the next couple of weeks, maybe a bit more tired than usual but that’s all.

The evening before last I had a short episode of barky coughing, like I had when I was ill. Then the next morning I woke up after only 4 hours sleep thinking I was having a heart attack. I had an intense pain in the centre of my chest. I’ve never experienced anything like that before. This obviously freaked me out a bit and I was too scared to go back to sleep, and then the pains happened twice more over then next hour. Felt ok for the rest of the day, although was obviously tired after 4 hours sleep.

Today I feel like I’ve been run over, and it definitely feels very much like it did when I was ill before. Bad headache, and so tired I haven’t been able to get out of bed all day. My muscles feel like they have no energy in them.

Could this be the return of covid? Is it normal for symptoms disappear for 2 weeks and then return?

Thanks, I phoned 111 last night and they said it didn’t sound like coronavirus as I didn’t have a temperature or persistent cough, but yesterday I felt EXACTLY like I did about 3 weeks ago so my feeling is that it is covid related. Thankfully feeling a bit better today, still dizzy and lightheaded though.

Did you over do it physically the day before? This can cause things to get worse suddenly. And lasting several weeks seems common. I still can’t run after seven weeks due to my lungs and windpipe getting sore.

Not really, I was so tired after waking up thinking that I was having a heart attack that I hardly did anything. Had to go to the supermarket but that was it.
