Covid

Bloody awful nightmare

So I've been having a lot of weird dream, which I think others have been suffering as well. I'm still ft at work so lockdown hasn't really affected me (I thought). Been getting shopping ok and DH is dropping and picking me up.

Last night though! Woke up nearly crying. I dreamt that I woke up and I was in hospital. Had no clothes and an iPad that I couldn't work out how to use to message anyone. I was told I had been under for years. Managed to get home by the magic of dreams, only it wasn't my house and my ex-inlaws from previous marriage were there. All my clothes and stuff were in a shed going mouldy. Then they told me current DH had died. (My ex-h died last year of flu in real life). Couldn't get hold of dc at all.

I woke up and had to go find DH just to make sure he was still alive. Christ, it's still haunting me!

My DP has been having a lot of these kinds of dreams (although he is under a lot of extra stress with a very close friend dying and a cardiac problems identified but not diagnose just at the beginning of lockdown - both non-covid related but atrocious timing!).

I don’t know if it will help you but it helps him to understand this is just your brain trying to make sense of everything going on. Your mind is trying to put some order to your thoughts so you can process and adapt. It’s normal if unnerving and will get better Flowers

Gosh that's awful. I hope it doesn't haunt you for long, but for me reading helps to shake it off (even then it can take a day or two). Hope you're feeling better soon.

And now DH has symptoms. Ugh. Just booked us in for a test but couldn't get local even though we have a test site nearby. Going 40+ mile up to Nottingham instead.
