I'm thinking of putting a big tray- putting bleach in it...asking kids to walk through it in shoes before coming in house. Is this a good idea?

Why?!

Are you keen to destroy their shoes?

Can they not just remove their shoes when they come in the door? I wouldn't be having bleach lying about on the floor especially if you have small children

The you'd have bleach on your floor.

Just take your shoes off like most people do....

No it is not a good idea, unless your kids are in the habit of licking their shoes.

No, it's a terrible idea. Take shoes off.

The more I think about it the more bonkers it is

How will your children take their shoes off? You don't want them touching bleach. Have you got loads of bleach to keep replacing it? Because every time you put a shoe in it will be absolutely filthy.

We aren’t allowed shoes in our house. Take them off at the door (floor in hallway is tiled) and pop them in the cupboard that we have under the stairs. I don’t think that bleaching them is necessary. I don’t think the virus is lying around all over the floor outside.
