@WorriesomeDad thanks for the new thread and hope you are doing ok today.

Thanks @longshot that's a really useful update on the previous thread. As you say taking it easy and not overdoing it definitely seems to help recovery, albeit a very long road. It's definitely not worth taking unnecessary risks.

Hi everyone, thanks @WorriesomeDad for the new thread. Day 40 for me. I've started with stomach upset symptoms which are worse in the evenings. My stomach feels like there's bubbles in it and I keep burping. Have had the runs a couple of times in the last two days too.

I'd been concerned about chest pains and on Friday my GP said he'd arrange for me to see a "Rapid Response Chest Pain Clinic". So much for a rapid response - someone phoned this afternoon to say they're not doing face to face consultations at the moment. After she'd heard about my symptoms she said it was impossible to diagnose me and I'd have to have a coronary angiogram. They normally take 6 weeks but at the moment they're not booking any so it would be "several months". I'm speaking to my GP again this Friday. Have been monitoring my blood pressure for the past couple of weeks and it's on average been 143/95. I'll have to make a decision about whether to go on medication for it as it's not coming down. I don't know whether if I magically clear myself of the virus and other symptoms, it will just fall on its own or whether the virus has permanently affected my BP in some way and this is now the new normal. I was so healthy before this and there's no lifestyle changes I can make to make it go lower. It has to be the virus.

I keep thinking, 5 and a half weeks - I must be getting close to some sort of perceivable recovery by now, surely. But every day feels the same, with a few new random symptoms thrown in.

@WorriesomeDad what kind of chest pains are you getting?

I'm at day 37 and started getting niggling little pains throughout my rib cage about 1 week ago, which seem to have improved, but I now have pain in the area of my breastbone which I think could be a condition called costochondritis. Also been experiencing heart palpitations 3 or 4 times a day. I suspect I have inflammation in that area.

Good news- did you see the people who tested positive in South Korea again after recovery has been out down to the fact they were still shedding dead virus. None of them were poorly as such at that time, it just takes a while for your body to shed the dead virus.

Did anyone do a link at the end of the last thread?
My WiFi is almost non existent so maybe it's not refreshing.
Might be worth tagging people if not.

Hi everyone, you may already know this by now but in case not, two new 40+ threads have been created as I think the last one filled up really and caught everyone by surprise.
