Hi everyone, thanks @WorriesomeDad for the new thread. Day 40 for me. I've started with stomach upset symptoms which are worse in the evenings. My stomach feels like there's bubbles in it and I keep burping. Have had the runs a couple of times in the last two days too.
I'd been concerned about chest pains and on Friday my GP said he'd arrange for me to see a "Rapid Response Chest Pain Clinic". So much for a rapid response - someone phoned this afternoon to say they're not doing face to face consultations at the moment. After she'd heard about my symptoms she said it was impossible to diagnose me and I'd have to have a coronary angiogram. They normally take 6 weeks but at the moment they're not booking any so it would be "several months". I'm speaking to my GP again this Friday. Have been monitoring my blood pressure for the past couple of weeks and it's on average been 143/95. I'll have to make a decision about whether to go on medication for it as it's not coming down. I don't know whether if I magically clear myself of the virus and other symptoms, it will just fall on its own or whether the virus has permanently affected my BP in some way and this is now the new normal. I was so healthy before this and there's no lifestyle changes I can make to make it go lower. It has to be the virus.
I keep thinking, 5 and a half weeks - I must be getting close to some sort of perceivable recovery by now, surely. But every day feels the same, with a few new random symptoms thrown in.
