Garden Concerts - please make it stop

This semi light hearted thread is politely asking for consideration before holding your own street or garden concert.

I have put up with several renditions of Que Sera and Beautiful Sunday.

I would now like to enjoy the outdoors in peace.
The local Facebook groups are all very complimentary but I would just like my ears to stop bleeding.

It must be so annoying, fortunately our neighbours are very quiet, I wouldn’t dream of inflicting my music on them or DH for that matter Grin and always wear my AirPods.

Oh, as I walk home from town along the river, sometimes a bloke is playing guitar and singing - I really enjoy it!

It's behind a high stone wall of a cottage so I can't see anything.

I assume he enjoys getting some fresh air and playing in the garden. He's quite good though, it would be a different matter if someone was trilling away in a squeaky falsetto

Funny because I posted yesterday about an outdoor cinema in the garden and the consensus was that IABU to be horrified by the idea of neighbours blasting Grease at full volume every night.

I know they had a karaoke and quiz a few streets down and judging from videos in a group it went on til quite late.

Just fucking stop. People work shifts. People have kids. People are recovering from illness. Piss off with it

My elderly neighbours used to sing along to old records (I'm sure it's vinyl) on a Sunday afternoon. The wife died a few years ago and the singing stopped. It was absolutely wonderful to hear the husband back in fine voice today.

Can we have a wee bit of tolerance, please? Unusual times which will soon be a memory.

Don't worry, rain is coming and everyone will go inside. No mowing lawns, no music and I can go out for a run in peace Grin
