UK Covid-19 Lockdown: As per gov.UK (gov.UK), it is clear that construction workers can work, if the work is critical. Also, people are allowed to travel to work. Do you know whether it is fine for two co-workers to travel together in the same vehicle/car?

Bin men and construction workers are.

Ideally you should be two metres apart but if it isn't possible in order to do your work e.g. bin lorry then you can't.

Do you mean can two co-workers commute in the same vehicle or actually share a vehicle to do their job? Construction workers can share a vehicle during the working day but they're not allowed to give a colleague a lift to/from work. That applies to both personal and company vehicles.

@HebeMumsnet, @BeforeIPutOnMyMakeup, @BamboozledandBefuddled Thanks for your response.
Can someone kindly send a link are reference?

@BamboozledandBefuddled, I did not entirely understand. Please correct me if I am wrong, You meant, two Construction workers from same company cannot travel together to work? We will be working on site together, we use van/car for only commute.

I'm going by the memo DH had from work ready for when they start again. That said workers cannot give another member of staff a lift to/from work in either their own vehicle or in a company vehicle. The memo started off 'In accordance with government guidelines' and then listed all the do's and dont's but I don't know if everything is guidelines or if some of it is the company being extra careful. I suppose that two people from different households in one vehicle is a breach of the guidelines but it seems pretty pointless if you're going to be working together.

Just looked at the link from pp - stay 2m apart when travelling. Could one of you go in the boot? Hmm
