I work for a caring sharing kind of organisation which is usually a good thing.
However, currently , wfh, there seems to be some sort of competition going on for who can be the most proactive at sending out funny/interesting/helpful memes or articles to boost morale/help us manage our mental health/stay safe.
Then, there is equal competitiveness for who can send the most appreciative or funny reply all response.
I'm obviously being an old grouch but honestly, keeping on top of the nonsense emails is taking ages. Occasionally, there'll be an "oh by the way" regarding something I actually do need to know, so I do need to read them all.
Are other workplaces doing this or are we unique?

It's taking me as long to delete the morale boosting emails as it is to do my actual job!
