Will we be able to access the Oak National Academy directly?

The online lessons that are available from tomorrow sound great and I am keen for my kids to watch/ engage with them (keener than they are it has to be said Grin).
Does anyone know if we can access them directly or do we have to wait for school to pass them on?
The only thing I've found online seems to imply that they are there for schools to access to help students which seems a shame

I hope so. I've only just read about it today but it looks great. I'm going to hang out here with you with my fingers crossed.

me too- while the secondary school has been great for dc 12 and 13 yo, we've been finding things much more difficult for our 9yo. just been trying our best with random worksheets and workbooks, we are now pinning all our hopes on the bbc bitesize programme due to launch tomorrow, which looks great.

The site is here www.thenational.academy/ anyone can see it but it looks like teachers will be best placed to break it down and direct parents to the appropriate resources.

Parents can access it fine, don’t need teachers to direct you to it.

I wouldn’t say so, you just select the appropriate year group and you have three lessons per day.

Fantastic.... A combination of Oak Academy resources, Bitesize and xhl it has given us the confidence to get stuck in... I have to say I've enjoyed the home schooling challenge, but having guided resources is really going to upgrade the whole experience...

Dc’s school have said parents and pupils are welcome to look at it but that they will be continuing with their own planned work (and continuing to plan in the future). So it is open to everyone.
If schools were to use it then I assume teachers would provide links and input.

Our school has said to use it but there are no additional links provided, there doesn’t need to be though you just use pen, paper , ruler etc.

Our (secondary) school has told that they teachers will use it but that the kids y7&y10 shouldn't access it independently- no idea why.

The kids however are finding the stuff from school pretty good and are not very interested despite my best efforts,
In accessing more
